This is a name that I gave which groups a few sites that I worked on before. Read below, or take a look at here for more.
User-driven Search for City Information
The Wisdom of Crowds by James Surowiecki is an interesting read. The bottom line is that the
collective intelligence of many people is superior to a few experts. So, using technology from Eurekster, I compiled a few search engines
specific to topics that are relevant (such as hotels, restaurants, museums, etc.) whose results are driven by users. In the beginning, it might be
a little rough, but as time goes on, and people help improve it, hopefully it will be very accurate. Give it a shot!
The main city that I am working on is New York City. I also have one up for San Francisco although it isn't as robust at this point.
