Interests: Sports

This was me once upon a time

Volleyball
My favorite sport is definitely volleyball which I became interested in right before going to college. I was awful when I first got to school, but through a lot of playing and practice, got a lot better. I enjoy playing twos on grass the most but haven't played as much as I would like to recently. I enjoy the teamwork as well as the rush from a crushing spike or a great dig. I've told people that if I could dunk, I'd probably play basketball, but the next best thing is a great spike.

Football
I played from 8th grade through my sophomore year on the line of all positions! I started as defensive tackle in 8th grade, started as offensive guard freshman year, and then didn't start my sophomoore year. I enjoy playing with pads an organized football a lot more than pick-up football since there are more structured plays, and people know what they're doing. You can also deliver more crushing blows without risk of serious injuries. If only practices weren't so long and draining, I would've played through senior year.

Hiking
I wouldn't call this a sport, but it's a physical activity I enjoy a lot since I find it relaxing, especially when hiking out in nature by water. I definitely need these moments to destress and get away from it all. San Francisco has some world-class hikes.

Miscellaneous
Other than the ones above, I love dabbling in different sports although the ones above are the ones I have invested more of my time into. Although I guess I did take a bowling class in college. Other "sports" (and some are more activities than sports) that I enjoy include tennis, bowling, pool, soccer, softball, ping-pong... and I'm open to try new sports and activities too.
