Where I Have Lived: Washington DC Metro Area

After moving out of Boston, I had such a good time in the DC Area, where I actually lived in Chevy Chase, Maryland which borders Bethesda, MD. Bethesda itself was actually quite nice since I could walk there, and there were a ton of restaurants. I didn't really have any expectation coming down, but when I got here, it was a little slow at first, but it picked up pretty quickly. I made a lot of great friends and had a lot of fun going out to bars and restaurants at Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan areas. I found the people very friendly, and there was a good diversity of people and industries such as government, telecom, high tech, lawyers, students, and more. Unfortunately by the time everything was rolling and I felt comfortable, it was time to move on.

I went to a church in Maryland called Chinese Christian Church of Greater Washington DC (CCCGW).

My total time in DC was only 9 months, so I was probably in a honeymoon period still, but I think it's a great place with a decent city and tons of museums. It seems to be a good place to raise a family as well.
